What does each evidence label mean?
An evidence label names the kind of support behind a sentence: a retail listing, a manufacturer page, another author’s data or an editorial restatement. The label does not turn that support into a measurement by Brix Meter. Unconfirmed fields stay open. No sucrose-standard rows, juice comparisons or fermentation series from this team are published on the current pages.

How does a claim reach a published page?
The claim must match a named liquid and a named scale. Figures are copied with their units and their stop. Two sources that disagree are left side by side. A formula is published only with the author’s sample bounds, and only as a name, not as a hosted calculator. Juice, wort, honey, coffee and urea are not treated as one conversion table.
What is the source and review status?
Each technical page links the listings or essays that support its sentences. Retail specifications describe declared capability. Terrill, Brewer’s Friend and Andrew Lea are attributed external cases. ATAGO’s PAL-1 page is a manufacturer source. We have not physically tested the three featured meters and we have not obtained an external professional review of these guides.
What would a published measurement need?
A published row would name the standard or juice, the preparation or certificate, the instrument and serial if known, the sample temperature, the stated ATC window, the zero check and the repeats. A fermentation row would add original Brix, apparent finishing Brix and hydrometer finishing gravity, plus the named formula if one is applied. Competence and food-safety duties stay with the person doing the work.
How are updates and corrections handled?
The page date is the editorial date. The source notes say when a listing or essay was opened. A later official Milwaukee manual would be added as a new source rather than silently repairing the damaged homepage sentence. Readers can open the linked page and compare the wording. A recent date is not evidence that an instrument has been retested.
